On the chaotic side of the accumulation point there are chaotic bands that successively merge to give the familiar Henon attractor. You can enlarge regions of the stopped plot with the mouse to resolve the closely spaced bands or to study the bands in more detail.

For a=1.2 however there is little resemblance to the one dimensional map.
