At a=3.498 we find a super stable 2-cycle in f 2


This corresponds to a superstable 4-cycle in f:


If we now look at f 4(x)

(including the transient)

we can study the approach to the fixed point in f 4(x). Again the orbit resembles the orbits in demonstration 1 at a=2 and demonstration 5 at a=3.236.


We can again emphasize this by focusing on the central region be enlarging and inverting (set nsc=2):
