First review the appearance of the attractor in the intrinsic phase space by looking at plots of X(t)-Z(t)
and X(t)-Y(t).
Remember these are projections of the trajectory of the in the 3-dimensional phase space onto the coordinate planes, and so spurious apparent crossings are generated.
